About Me

My name is Vix, I’m an interdisciplinary artist and tattooer based in Brooklyn, New York. I was born and raised in Greensboro, NC and moved to New York to study Photography at Parsons The New School for Design.

Tattooing is a deeply personal and intimate collaboration between artist and client. Because bodies are politicized in our culture, the act of modifying the body is politicized in association. My tattoo work is an extension of my love for both art and activism. Tattoos can be a powerful tool for healing and self empowerment, and I aim to hold space for my clients to make their bodies more their own.
